Sadly, Alan Entwistle has passed after a prolonged illness. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him and is a great loss to the guitar community. Alan spent most of his professional life designing, repairing or building guitars, alongside designing and experimenting with pickups and various tone modules.
Making interesting, inspiring guitars that were affordable to most people was a passion of his. He never saw the advantage in making unaffordable guitars only available to the few, as he knew that it was possible to produce great products at a much lower cost. This also extended to his electric guitar pickups, where he had no interest in hand-making boutique pickups at astronomical prices, when a well-designed, well-made factory pickup sounded just as good.
He leaves a fantastic legacy behind him that will be enjoyed for years to come.
