BIOGRAPHY:

Davy Kerrigan is no stranger to the music scene having clocked up more than 30 years in the business and his unique style, both on vocals and guitar, are well known throughout the circuit. He is a solo blues/rock artist and also fronts the fantastic DAVY K PROJECT, a Live 3 piece Classic Rock / Blues / Rock ‘n’ Roll band currently performing all over Ireland / Europe to rave reviews.

In his own words:

“I always had a great interest in the guitar from an early age, but after my Father bought me my first “proper” guitar (my E series Japanese Squier Stratocaster), that’s when my world changed.

I discovered Rory Gallagher, Gary Moore, and a host of other artists who were a huge influence on me. I never put the Strat down. I loved that guitar and never stopped practising, playing along with CDs, etc. and driving my parents mad, finally getting to the stage where I ended up playing with a few different local bands. Over the years I learned a variety of different styles, such as Rock, Country, Rock ‘n’ Roll and Blues, all which helped my progression on the instrument.

In 2016 I formed my own Blues Rock band called “The Davy K Project” and we released our debut album “Lockdown” in Feb 2019 (yes before the actual ‘lockdown’ was even a thing!!) and continue to record more original music, such as our single ‘Afterglow’.

Thankfully, I’m very busy with both the band and solo work and I/we play a load of Blues Festivals both here in Ireland and overseas plus some session work thrown into the mix, as well.

‘The Davy K Project’ is currently in the studio working on new material, hoping for it to be completed and released before end of 2024″.
