We’re 5 lads who all bonded over a passion for wanting real music to be heard again. Moulded by bands like The War On Drugs, The Verve and Pink Floyd, we strive to create music that blends influences of Manchester’s mightiest with the beautiful sounds and atmosphere you find in psychedelic rock.
2023 was a huge year for us. We performed at the Etihad Stadium’s ‘City Square Live’ for a pre-show match performing live to thousands. On our headline tour in March, we sold out headline shows in Southampton, Newcastle, Leeds, Edinburgh, and Manchester Academy 3 captivating hundreds of fans nationwide. Off the back of the rapidly sold-out Manchester Academy 3 show, Rosellas fans hungered for more and so we announced and sold out our biggest hometown Manchester show to date at the prestigious Band on the Wall to over 500 people – we’ve sold out every hometown show since the start.
In the same year our EP ‘Somewhere Inbetween’ went straight to #1 in the iTunes album charts, and we followed this by 2023 release ‘The Same Curse’ achieving #2 on the iTunes singles charts, kept only off top spot by The Beatles’ ‘Now & Then’. Alongside this, we also gained constant support throughout the year from legendary taste-makers such as John Kennedy (Radio X) and Jim Salveson (XS Manchester) as well as appearing on Roesh’s BBC Introducing show on BBC Manchester.
We’ve earned a bit of a keep on the big stage having supported some decently sized bands in Starsailor, James, Slow Reader’s Club, Andrew Cushin, Red Rum Club, and The K’s to name a few. We’ve also become somewhat of a mainstay on the summer festival circuit having headlined stages at big name festivals such as Y Not? and Isle Of Wight, and being part of huge line-ups at Truck Festival, Askern Festival, Liverpool Sound City, and Neighbourhood Festival.
“We write lyrics that fixate on the desire to wade through the daily monotony of working life and focus your mind on the key elements that drive you to success; ambition, passion and determination.”
