GENRE: Sixties

INFLUENCES: Sixties!

PREFERRED PICKUPS, AND WHY:

Des – The EWR64 pickups have a great vintage sound to them, are very versatile and keep sound engineers happy with them being hum bucking. They also look the part.

Lee – For me, the Astrosonic VX pickups in my Rapier Symphonic bass are very pleasing on the ear and have great tonal qualities. Whether you are looking for the vintage tones of the 60s or the grunge of the 80s and 90s, you will not be disappointed. Labella flat wound strings and Entwistle pickups go hand in hand.

Matt – I love how “Sixties” the Rapier 33 sounds with its EWR64 pickups and how I’m able to just plug straight into an amp and get that perfect sound.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS SO FAR:

Throughout their illustrious 60-year career, the band has experienced numerous standout moments. As a member of the Fourmost for 14 years, I have had the privilege of participatng in some unforgettable gigs, shows, and tours. These include the inaugural ‘Rock The Boat’ music Cruise on the Celebrity Eclipse, where we shared the stage with our peers and contemporaries from the 60s over 3 days. Additionally, we had the honour of being part of the Sensational 60s Experience and Sixties Gold theatre tours in 2018/19 and 2023 respectively.

Another notable highlight was when The Fourmost provided backing for Mr. Mike Pender MBE, founder member and lead vocalist of The Searchers, during his live performances, particularly during several shows in Denmark.
